The basics
What is CLUSA?
A complete AI system that sits in your building: the machine, the software, the AI models, and the set-up, updates and support. It goes on your network and answers from your own documents. No prompt and no document leaves your building.
What problem does it solve?
Some company data cannot go into external cloud services. Client files. Financial reports. Due diligence. Contracts under negotiation. Plans and drawings.
Cloud AI is not allowed for that material. CLUSA runs the AI on your premises instead. Prompts and data stay local.
Is this software, a server, or a service?
All three, in one agreement. The hardware, the platform, the models, the installation and the ongoing support come from us as a single thing.
Why is it called CLUSA?
From the Latin clausa, the thing that is shut in, which is a literal description of what the product does with a customer's data. Two syllables, said CLOO-sa.
The company was called The Little Box until September 2026. Same company, same people, same product.
Who is it for?
Individuals and teams that handle sensitive data. Healthcare, finance, family offices, human resources, legal, government, defence, insurance, private equity and accounting.
Do I need a data scientist to use it?
No. There is a chat window for everyday questions and for loading documents. Our engineers maintain and support the system.
Is this just a local copy of ChatGPT?
The chat window works like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot and does the same everyday tasks. The difference is where it runs. CLUSA runs on a machine in your building, so your data never reaches a cloud AI provider. It also answers from your own documents and shows which ones it used.
The range
What sizes are there?
Five. Nano for one user, Box for up to 50 users, Team for up to 200, Department for 200 and above, and Rack for a whole company. See the five sizes.
What is the difference between them?
Capacity, not capability. The smallest and the largest show the same screens and the same features. The larger sizes hold more documents, run larger models faster and serve more people at once.
How do I know which one I need?
A one-hour discussion with the people who will use it, and your technical team. CLUSA proposes the right size.
Nano is one laptop. Is that a real product?
Yes. It is a full product, supported and maintained the same way as every other size. Individuals handling confidential material need the same capabilities and privacy as a team.
What you get
What is delivered?
Three things under one agreement: the machine in your building, the software your team uses, and the service around it, from set-up and training to updates, maintenance and support.
Who chooses and maintains the models?
We install, test and support the models, harness and APIs. We test and build on established open models and open standards, and update the catalogue as better ones are released.
What does retrieval over your own files mean in practice?
CLUSA reads the documents you point it at and builds a searchable index. When somebody asks a question, it finds the relevant passages and answers from those, showing which documents it used. The index is built on CLUSA and stays there.
Is it as good as the largest hosted models?
The largest cloud models are still ahead on the hardest reasoning. Most company work is reading long documents, summarising, drafting and answering questions from your own files. The models on CLUSA do that very well, and they improve every few months.
Privacy and security
Will you train on our documents?
No. Your documents are indexed so CLUSA can find them. Your data never trains a model. CLUSA does not send data outside your company.
Can it run with no internet?
Yes. CLUSA does not need an internet connection. The machine sits on your LAN like any other server, and your LAN reaches the internet. CLUSA does not use it: no telemetry, no licence check, no model download in the background. That is enforced in CLUSA's own configuration, and you can enforce it again at your firewall or on a separate VLAN.
Every function, including inference, operates with the network disconnected. Available for demonstration.
What happens to the prompts people type?
They stay on CLUSA, in the log you own. Nobody outside your organisation can see them, including us.
Can AI become a way around our access rules?
No. People sign in through your existing directory and existing group permissions carry through to what CLUSA will retrieve. Nobody sees a document through AI that they could not open directly.
How do we know what is running on CLUSA?
You get a full inventory of the software and models we install, so your security team can review it, scan it and re-check it later.
What if a model produces something wrong?
Like any AI system, it can make mistakes. Check important information before acting on it. Answers point at the documents they came from, which is how somebody decides whether to trust one.
Living with it
How long does it take to get one?
The delivery time of the hardware sets the timescale. Once the hardware arrives, CLUSA is configured, tested and handed over in less than a week. Ask us for current lead times.
What happens at installation?
The hardware arrives at your office. Our engineers configure it, connect it to your network and your sign-in system, and load your first documents.
Will our people need training?
Very little. The interface works the same way as the AI assistants your people already use. We run a short session at handover, and our support app connects you to our team for questions.
Who looks after it afterwards?
Our engineers maintain and support the system. Your team can contact us about any problem. CLUSA has no remote access at any point.
Commercial
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the size and the deployment. Ask us and we will give you a figure.
Who do we sign with?
CLUSA. The contracting entity is confirmed with your proposal.
How do we start?
Tell us what the data is, how many users, and what you have been told you cannot do. That is enough for a first conversation. Write to contact@clusa.ai, or call +359 879 211 440 in Europe or +971 58 600 5079 in the Middle East.
